About licences

How do I activate Midground?

Download Midground from your account. The plugin has your licence key built in, so it activates itself the first time you open the dashboard. You can also paste the key under Midground → Settings → Licence.

What counts as a website?

Each live website you activate Midground on. Staging and local copies – localhost, .local, .test and staging addresses – are free and do not count.

Can I move a licence to another site?

Yes. Free a site in your account and activate Midground on the new one.

What happens when a licence expires?

Nothing breaks. Your sites keep working exactly as they are; updates and support stop until you renew.

Can I change plan later?

Yes, at any time. You pay only the difference for the rest of the year.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes: a full refund within 30 days, no questions asked.

Is Midground open source?

Midground is licensed under the GPL, like WordPress itself. Your licence pays for development, updates and support – thank you.

Who handles payment and VAT?

Stripe is our reseller. They handle checkout, VAT and invoices, and you can manage your subscription with them at any time.
